Customizing Application Engine processes
Periodically, it is necessary to install updates to your applications.
During each update, all processes of your Infor
applications are validated. If a custom process fails to validate, then the whole update
fails.
To avoid conflicts between your content and content that might be delivered through updates, we recommend that you always store your custom processes in a separate application. You can create your custom application in d/EPM Administration. In Application Engine Process Editor, create your process and publish it to your custom application.
In case you already added custom processes to a standard application and the update failed, you must delete a custom process in Application Engine Process Editor and reinstall the update. Fix the failed processes and add them after the update is finished.
In addition, we recommend that you follow these rules when customizing applications:
- Work with copies of content, not with the original content
- Prefix the unique names of all content that you create, including roles and permissions, with cust_.
