Making assignments between users, groups, and application roles

You can make assignments between users, groups, and the roles of a selected application. The Users and User Groups dashboard has four widgets: Users and Groups, Basic Groups, Application Roles, and OLAP Data Roles. Clicking a value in one widget highlights the assignments in the other two widgets and makes them editable.

Click a user or group in the Users and Groups widget to make editable the assignments in the Basic Groups and Application Roles widgets.

Click a group in the Basic Groups widget to make editable the assignments in the Users and Groups and Application Roles widgets.

Click a role in the Application Roles widget to make editable the assignments in the Users and Groups and Basic Groups widgets.
Note: In the Application Roles widget, select the application to which the assignments of users and groups, and basic groups apply.
  1. Select Dashboards > User and Permission Management > Users and User Groups.
  2. Select a value in a widget that you do not need to edit.
    The associated values in the other widgets are highlighted.
  3. Click the Edit icon of the widget to edit.
    To edit the assignment of application roles, first select the application to which the assignments apply.
  4. Select or clear assignments as required and click the Save icon.
