Auditing

Infor d/EPM Platform provides an audit trail for a number of events. Those events are grouped into audit categories. Specific audit requirements can vary, and it is often necessary to balance auditing and system performance. For these reasons, you can configure your own auditing requirements.

Auditing is enabled in IGS cloud environments. You can configure which events are audited but you cannot access the audit entries. Auditing is not available in standard cloud environments.

For each service, audit entries are written locally to ../ProgramData/Infor/BI/Audit on the system on which the service runs. Audit entries exclude sensitive information and are not viewable in Infor d/EPM Platform.

Encrypted portions of the audit files are Base64-encoded. A variety of Base64 decoding tools are available online.

Protocols and mechanisms for viewing audit logs are implementation-specific.

The Audit Settings widget in the Security Settings dashboard has check boxes to enable auditing of the events in these categories:

  • Administration
  • Database
  • OLAP Administration
  • OLAP Data
  • Relational Data
  • Security
  • System Configuration
  • Usage Auditing

The Administration, OLAP Data, Relational Data, Security, System Configuration, and Usage Auditing categories have the sub categories shown in this table:
