Exporting translation strings

You can export all strings or a selection of strings from an application. You can export strings in all languages or in a selection of languages. To export a selection of strings you must select or create a filter.

  1. Select Dashboards > Applications Administration > Language Settings.
  2. Select the application from which to export.
  3. Optionally, select or create a filter.
    For example, click the settings icon on the Type column, select Filters and select one or more types of string to export. Or, for example, click the settings icon on the Description column and specify a filter.
  4. Click the Export icon.
  5. Select the format in which to export the strings.
    You can export in these formats:
    • Comma separated values (.csv)
    • Tab separated values (.csv)
    • Microsoft Office Excel
    • .NET resource file
  6. Select one of these options:
    Option Description
    All active languages Export translations in all active languages
    Select languages Select the languages from which to export translations
  7. Optionally, if you have used a filter to create a selection of strings, select Export filtered translations only.
