Application packages
When you import a package, you can install the application as a new application or as
an update to an existing application. To move an application between farms or tenants, you can
export custom applications to an application package.
Application packages can be versioned. If a package has a version and is used to update an existing application, then the existing application must have a lower version.
You can exclude application capabilities from a package. By removing, for example, the Application Studio capability, you delete the Application Studio model from the application.
