Financial Reporting
In Financial Reporting, you generate report summaries using the GenAI engine. The summary is created using a dedicated option that generates a formatted report based on the selected business prompt and report context. The generated content is provided to get financial insights and doesn't change the underlying data, report definition, calculations, or layout.
If GenAI is not available, the Financial Reporting operates normally.
The report summaries help you get financial insights quicker by reducing manual analysis and applying a consistent explanation across reports and users. Interaction is based on natural language prompts, which can be adjusted, refined, or extended to suit specific reporting needs. This approach supports flexible analysis while providing a foundation that can be extended to additional reports and prompt-based scenarios over time.
Financial Consolidation
In Financial Consolidation, you generate report summaries using the GenAI engine. Capital Planning
You can use GenAI in Infor Capital Planning to assist with the creation of capital project descriptions. Based on defined project attributes, GenAI generates an initial description that you can apply, edit, or regenerate as needed.
In addition, you can use GenAI to support analysis of project execution and provide insights into the financial status of capital projects.
EPM custom applications
You can integrate GenAI into custom applications or extend existing applications by creating additional prompt-driven processes. Examples include predictive analysis, financial status summaries, and identification of trends, outliers, or potential issues that would otherwise require extensive manual analysis.
Customers can also configure sequences of GenAI processes and connect GenAI Agents to support defined workflows, for example, analyzing models, generating scenarios and writing output data to existing or new data areas within an Infor EPM application.
Ad-hoc reporting
Ad-hoc Report GenAI agents support three interaction modes:
- Create new report: Generates a complete Ad-Hoc OLAP report from a natural language prompt. The agent selects the appropriate data source, defines rows and columns, and applies the required selections.
- Edit existing report: Modifies the current report based on user instructions, for example by adding dimensions, changing filters, drilling down or up, transposing layouts, or adjusting suppression settings.
- Summarize or analyze report: Performs analysis of the current report by explaining structures, highlighting key results, or suggesting possible optimizations.
GenAI Assistant Chat and AskOLAP
With the GenAI Assistant Chat integration you can query Infor EPM data using natural language within Infor Chat. This enables retrieval of concise answers to executive financial questions and access to structural information about OLAP models for the Infor EPM users. You can ask follow-up questions within the same session to refine results. In addition, Infor EPM processes can be registered as custom GenAI agents, enabling automation of multi-step tasks through conversational interaction.
The GenAI Assistant Chat provides access to AskOLAP, a dedicated agent for direct conversational access to OLAP data. With AskOLAP you can explore cube schemas, dimensions, hierarchies, members, attributes, and cell values using natural language. Typical use cases include querying revenue by region, exploring available databases and cubes, and retrieving specific cell values across dimensions.
Application Engine with Infor GenAI
You can invoke GenAI agents and Infor GenAI prompts programmatically through the ION API Gateway, enabling integration of GenAI capabilities into automated workflows and external systems. This allows Application Engine processes to leverage GenAI capabilites for tasks such as data analysis, report generation, or model interaction without direct user interaction through the user interface.
