XPADPROCESSLEVEL Process Levels
The XPADPROCESSLEVEL dimension can include a a default hierarchy and additional 22 alternate hierarchies each corresponding to different Fiscal Calendar start months and year types (same year or previous year). The available hierarchies depend on which fiscal calendars are enabled in Business Modeling by setting entity properties or defining a group Calendar.
The Subtotal and Total elements are shared across the Fiscal Calendars, same as the base Import level, where periodically transactions are stored. In contrast, different Opening Balance and additional Fiscal Period elements are included to separate data for each fiscal calendar, as they differ by starting periods.

TOTAL_LEVELAlternate hierarchies
- 22 hierarchies represent level structures for all possible fiscal calendars.
- Hierarchy names follow the format:
- PY02, PY03, ..., PY12 (Previous Year, starting in Feb–Dec)
- SY02, SY03, ..., SY12 (Same Year, starting in Feb–Dec)

How to use the hierarchies
- Identify your organization’s fiscal calendar start month and year type (same year or previous year) and assign it either to the entity or even set it up as Group Calendar for all entities in Business Modeling.
- Select the corresponding hierarchy, for example, SY03 for Same Year starting in March.
- Either use the predefined Enterprise_Perspective with Group Calendar or define Entity specific Perspective by using the correct calendar hierarchy as default setting in Perspective.
- By publishing the perspective, the same hierarchy as in XPADTIME is published for XPADPROCESSLEVEL as default that Opening Balance or Additional Periods are bound to the correct Fiscal Calendar.
