Financial Reporting integration to Infor Document Management

This topic describes how to upload report templates to Infor Document Management to enable statutory printouts in Financial Reporting.

Statutory printouts are available for these reports:

  • Aggregated Financial Statement
  • Comparative Financial Statement
  • Income Statement – Budget versus Actual
  • Statement of Capital Expenditures
  • Summary of Trial Balance
  • Cash Flow Manual Adjustment
  • Cash Flow Statement

Before enabling statutory printouts, you must meet these requirements:

  • You must have access to the Control Center option in Infor Document Management. To enable access, the member of the Infor Document Management Administrator IFS role must upload the Financial_Reporting_IDM_Configuration_XX.XX.XX.xml file.
  • Service accounts for Infor EPM Backend Service and Infor Document Management are configured in EPM Administration.
  • The Financial_Reporting_IDM_Configuration_XX.XX.XX.xml file is imported.

Creating an IFS service account

  1. In the navigation menu in Infor OS, select Applications > OS > Security.
  2. Expand the Options pane and select Manage > Service Accounts.
  3. Click Add new item.
  4. Specify a description of the service account.
  5. Select a user name from the list.
  6. On the OAuth2 Scope tab, click Add new item.
  7. Select the Infor‑IDM check box.
  8. Click Add.
  9. Click Save Item.
  10. Download the service account credentials.

Configuring the EPM service account

  1. In the navigation menu in Infor OS, select Applications > OS > API Gateway.
  2. Select Authorized Apps.
  3. Click Add New App.
  4. Specify a name, for example, EPM Backend Service.
  5. Select Backend Service as the type.
  6. Specify a description and click Save.
  7. To download the .ionapi file, scroll down and click Download Credentials.
  8. In EPM Administration, select Dashboards > User and Permission Management > Service Accounts.
  9. Click Add.
  10. In the Add Service Account dialog box, select the downloaded .ionapi file.
  11. Click Add.
  12. Ensure that the service account is displayed on the Service Accounts page.

Configuring the Infor Document Management service account

  1. In EPM Administration, select Dashboards > User and Permission Management > Service Accounts.
  2. Click Add.
  3. In the Add Service Account dialog box, select the downloaded .ionapi file with the imported service account.
  4. Click Add.
  5. In the .ionapi file, copy the value from the Unique Name column.
  6. Select Dashboards > Applications Administration > Custom Settings.
  7. In the Application field, select Financial and Supply Management Analytics.
  8. Click Add.
    A row is added to the grid.
  9. In the Name column, specify IDM_Service_Account.
  10. In the Value column, paste the unique name that you copied from the .ionapi file.

Creating a document type in Infor Document Management

  1. In Infor Document Management, click Control Center.
  2. In the Administration pane, select Document Type and click New Document Type.
  3. Specify this information:
    Display name
    A default name is displayed. Specify a unique name of your folder.
    Name
    Specify Visibility_in_EPM.
    Document title
    Select Filename.
    Index Attributes
    Select Visibility in EPM.
  4. Select the Use case sensitive LIKE check box.
  5. Click NEXT.
  6. Select the Public check box.
  7. Click Done.

Importing the Infor Document Management configuration for Financial Reporting

  1. In Infor Document Management, click Control Center
  2. In the Administration pane, select Import / Export.
  3. Click the Import tab.
  4. In the file upload field, select the Financial_Reporting_IDM_Configuration_XX.XX.XX.xml file that is attached to the Knowledge Base Article article KB3658318.
  5. Click Import.

Storing a Financial Reporting report in Infor Document Management

  1. In Financial Reporting, select the report to export.
  2. Click Export and select Export to PDF > Store to IDM.
  3. In the Store to IDM dialog box, select the custom folder that you created in Infor Document Management.
  4. Click Store Report.
  5. To access the exported report, open Infor Document Management and select Recently Modified or search for your custom folder by document type in the Search Document Management field.
