Financial Reporting application roles

Application roles define which pages you can view, which data you can access, and which actions you can take. Standard roles include permissions for specific tasks and reports. You can manage assignment of users and groups to these roles in EPM Administration

These standard Financial Reporting application roles are available:

  • Business Modeling Administrator
  • Cash Flow Planner
  • GL Modeler
  • GL User
  • C-Suite User
  • CFO

Application roles are assigned to users in EPM Administration. Users can be assigned to multiple roles.

Business Modeling Administrator

Users of this role have access to Business Modeling, Global Sign Definition pages, and the Financial Reporting Home page.

Business Modeling administrators can perform these actions:

  • Activating the Financial Reporting module
  • Importing business objects
  • Configuring Financial Reporting specific areas
  • Managing KPIs
  • Loading Financial Reporting data

Cash Flow Planner

Users of this role are responsible for configuring and adjusting cash flow reports.

Cash flow planners can perform these actions:

  • Configuring the Cash Flow Parametrization page
  • Copying cash flow configuration
  • Running cash flow processes

GL Modeler

Users of this role have access to Business Modeling and Configuration pages. They can view all reports in read-only mode.

GL modelers can perform the same actions as a Business Modeling administrator. Additionally, they can perform these actions:

  • Configuring the Global Sign Definition page
  • Viewing KPI cards and chart on the Financial Reporting Home page
  • Viewing charts on the Consolidated Financial Statements page
  • Creating accounts for the Statement of Capital Expenditures report

GL User

Users of this role can view all financial reports. GL User cannot view the C-Suite dashboards and the C-Suite reports. GL User can use the Ad-hoc Report widget.

C-Suite User

Users of this role have access to C-Suite dashboards and reports. C-Suite User can use all financial reports and the Ad-hoc Report widget.

CFO

Users of this role have access to C-Suite dashboards and reports and all financial reports.
