Defining an attribute filter
You can define an attribute filter on the axis and hierarchy levels.
- In the Ad-Hoc Report dialog box, select these options
- Data connection
- Cube
- Columns
- Rows
- Select a hierarchy under the row or column.
- Click the Filtering tab.
The Filtering tab is available if the attribute filter is created on the hierarchy level. If the attribute filter is created on the row or column axis level, the Filters tab is available in the configuration pane.
- Select Add > Attribute Filter.
- Specify this information:
- Hierarchy
- Select the hierarchy to which the attribute filter is applied. When the attribute filter is applied to the axis, the field shows dimensions assigned to that axis.

Options that you can select in this field depend on the selected attribute.
If the Attribute field data type is boolean, the Value field contains an item list. Select FALSE or TRUE from the item list.
If the Attribute field data type is a string or number, the Value field is a text field. Specify a string or numerical value.
