Creating an objective

Objectives are always assigned under a strategy and form a parent-child relationship.

You can assign an objective to multiple strategies by selecting the relevant strategy records in the Parent column. A strategy can have multiple objectives.

  1. In Business Modeling, open the Strategy/Objective page from the toolbar.
  2. Click Add.
    The Add Caption_BO_StrategyObjective dialog box opens.
  3. Specify this information:
    Id
    Specify a unique ID for the objective.
    Name
    Specify a clear and descriptive name for the objective.
  4. Select the parent strategy to which the objective belongs.
    Note: To maintain a valid and functional hierarchy, you must always assign objectives to strategies.

    The objective is displayed as a child under the selected strategy and is ready for the KPI assignment.
