Troubleshooting

This section describes common issues and how to correct them.

The difference analysis shows unexpected results

Solution: Ensure that the comparison and reporting periods are correctly configured in the global context.

The formatting of negative values is incorrect

Solution: Verify the Display Negative Values setting in Financial Reporting.

The objectives are not visible in the Strategy & Objective widget

Solution: Confirm that the selected strategy has one or more objectives assigned in Business Modeling.

Ensure that the model has been published to OLAP, which makes the Strategy-Objective hierarchy available in C-Suite.

Cause : The objective lack a KVI or KPI assignment.

Solution: Verify whether the objective has correctly assigned KVIs or KPIs.

The most recent metric selection from the dashboard is not reflected by the report

Some dimensions are not available in the Filter Panel of the Top & Bottom Analysis report

Cause: In the Top & Bottom Analysis report, a dimension can only be displayed in one place at a time, either in the filter panel or in the data grid.

The Zoom In option is not available for certain rows in the Top & Bottom Analysis widget

Cause: The Zoom In option is not available for these elements:

Metrics are not visible in the Metrics Overview report

Solution: Ensure that metrics are assigned to the selected objective in Business Modeling.

Modifications to default scaling logic are not allowed in the Metrics Overview report

Cause: The scaling logic in the Metrics Overview report is inherited from C-Suite. The scaling logic is automatically applied based on the magnitude of each metric value. Scaling is applied individually to each row. That is, metrics, such as Revenue and Operating Profit, are scaled independently to enhance readability. This ensures that users view metrics in a standardized and clear format, which minimizes potential confusion that can be caused by inconsistent scaling across reports.

Solution: You can not change or override the scaling behavior in the Metrics Overview report.

The Actual Budget lollipop chart is not visible in the Trend & Projection chart

Cause: The Actual Budget lollipop chart compares the reporting version with the selected comparison version.

Solution: Ensure that the comparison version is selected in the Application Context and the chart setting is enabled for the lollipop chart.

Actual values are not visible in the Trend & Projection chart

Cause: Actual values are displayed up to the reporting period. If you select only periods that are after the reporting period, you can view only the forecast values.

The C-Suite Dashboard is displayed in the Navigation panel but cannot be opened.

Cause: You have the View Dashboard permission but you do not have the CFO or C-Suite User role assigned.

Solution: Ensure you have either the CFO role or the C-Suite User role assigned.
