C-Suite prerequisites

Before using the C-Suite Dashboard, you must configure Financial Reporting, define required business structures, and ensure appropriate permissions and perspectives are available.

C-Suite depends on the Financial Reporting data model and configuration.

You must complete the following prerequisites before using the C-Suite dashboard.

  1. Set up the Financial Reporting cube, import financial data to ensure data availability, and maintain master data configuration, including entities, accounts, and currencies.
Tip: For more information, see Importing data to Financial Reporting and Manage a model sections in Financial Reporting User Guide > Configuration in Business Modeling.
  2. Review the Financial Reporting overview documentation, including configuration details in Business Modeling.
  3. For business object accounts, map the KPI Account Groups property for each financial account base element to enable KPI usage.
Tip: For more information, see Mapping KPI Account Group to financial accounts in Financial Reporting User Guide > Configuration in Business Modeling > Metric management.
  4. Set up KPIs. You can use the default KPI package or define custom KPIs.
  5. Create at least one strategy and assign at least objective to the strategy.
  6. Assign metrics, such as KPIs, to objectives.
  7. Publish the data model from Business Modeling to create OLAP structures, calculations, and the enterprise perspective.

If the automatically generated Enterprise Perspective does not meet your requirements, create an enterprise perspective in EPM Administration and then republish the data model in Business Modeling.

  8. Ensure that users have the required permissions, such as the C-Suite role or CFO role.
Tip: For more information, see C-Suite roles.
