Data roles and permissions

Data roles and permissions determine what actions can be taken in relation to objects within the OLAP database, and by whom.

Objects include, for example, dimensions and rules. Permissions include the ability to edit rules and dimensions and to write values to the cubes.

If an application contains an OLAP database then the OLAP permissions are also available as application permissions.

Select Dashboards > User and Permission Management > Manage Roles.

Alternatively, select Dashboards > User and Permission Management > Users, Groups and Roles. Click the OLAP Data Roles tab and select the application for which to show the roles.

You can import roles from one application into another.
