GenAI tools for Financial Consolidation

GenAI tools for Financial Consolidation provide natural language access to consolidation data through the GenAI Chat interface. You submit prompts to retrieve financial data, validate statuses, analyze accounts, and create draft journals. GenAI tools are enabled by a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server integration with the GenAI Assistant, eliminating the need to navigate Financial Consolidation pages.

GenAI provides read-only access to the Financial Consolidation database. GenAI retrieves raw consolidation data, including entities, groups, journals, and account balances, for AI-based analysis. No consolidation processes are performed and no data is modified. Based on retrieved data, GenAI can generate proposals and draft journals for review.

Note: 
  • GenAI analyzes raw data independently, which can result in differences between retrieved data and outputs of standard consolidation processes. In most cases, results remain closely aligned.
  • You can't access cash flow, segmentation, and consolidation processes with GenAI tools.

To access consolidation data through the GenAI Chat interface, open the chat and specify a natural-language question or command in it. AI identifies the correct tool, resolves names, and returns requested data. You can continue the conversation to retrieve more data. The chat maintains conversational context across multiple prompts. Key capabilities

The GenAI tools' key capabilities include:

  • Name resolution: No need to remember IDs. The GenAI tools accept entity and group names in addition to codes. For example, this prompt Show me ownership for Gr. Genesis Car in period 12.2020, version V01 resolves automatically to GR0001.
  • Filtering and combinations: Most tools support combining multiple filters in a single prompt, including:
    • Multiple entities or groups
    • Multiple periods
    • Specific activity types or statuses
    • Account, intercompany, currency, and level parameters
  • Pagination: For large result sets, such as journals, specific pages are retrieved. For example, Show me page 2 of journals for entity RU0001 in period 12.2020, version V01.
  • Error handling: Messages are displayed for these scenarios, for example:
    • An entity, group, or account doesn't exist.
    • Required parameters, such as a version, are missing. You are prompted for an input.
    • The date format is invalid.
    • You have no permission to perform the requested action.
