YTDRanges
This section describes how the YTDRanges calculation type is calculated. When setting up a benefit of this type, you must specify one or more YTD ranges. A single YTD range consists of a low YTD value, a high YTD value, and a percentage that applies to YTD values in the range. You must specify one or more based-on benefits. The calculations are done by applying the ranges to the YTD sum of the values of the based-on benefits.
You can also specify an annual cap, that is, the maximum amount that can be applied over the course of a year. The cap can be based on the calendar year or the fiscal year.
This calculation type is not prorated to avoid double proration in the case that the based-on benefit is prorated.
