Perspectives table maintenance

With perspectives, hierarchies are assembled in meaningful combinations and serve as virtual views and cubes in the API and to the user. Use Perspectives table to define your perspectives.

If multiple entities use the same type of the fiscal year, define one perspective for these entities. If each entity uses a different type of a fiscal year, define a separate perspective for each entity.

To maintain the Perspectives table, go to the EPM Administrationand select Dashboard > Data Integrations > Relational Modeling > EPM Integration.

This table shows the properties of the Perspective table:

Field Description Type
ID Unique identifier of a record. nvarchar
Name Caption that is displayed if no language-specific translation is provided. nvarchar
Description Description of the perspective. nvarchar

These are the example perspectives you can use in the Perspectives table:

  • Default perspective. Uses the regular calendar with segments for all business objects except intercompany and intersegments.
  • FullView perspective. Uses regular calendar with all the details for all business objects including intersegments.
  • GenesisUK perspective. Uses the April-March fiscal calendar for the business object.
