Top & Bottom Analysis widget

The Top & Bottom Analysis widget provides a visual perspective of business performance. The widget shows bar charts that highlight the highest and lowest performers across categories based on a selected metric, such as revenue, profit margin, or cost.

The Top & Bottom Analysis widget is a bar chart that compares performance across different business units, regions, or other categories. This widget is especially useful for spotting outliers and understanding where to focus attention.

Data rules

These data rules apply to the Top & Bottom Analysis widget:
  • Only the dimensions defined in the Enterprise Perspective field are analyzed.
  • The Metrics Table widget contains all entities, but any entity that is not relevant to a selected metric is excluded from the Top & Bottom Analysis widget.
  • Rows with null differences for the selected metric are excluded from the top 5 or bottom 5 ranking. This ensures that only valid and comparable data is displayed in the charts.
  • The widget shows up to 5 top or bottom performers. If fewer performers exist, only those available are displayed.
  • Percentage-based metrics do not contain the difference (Δ). Therefore, the Δ value is not displayed in the Metrics Table widget and the Top & Bottom Analysis widget charts.
  • You can analyze only one metric at a time.
