Using the C-Suite dashboard

  1. To identify issues, perform these steps:
    1. To spot red indicators, use the Strategy & Objective widget.
      Note: Objectives are ordered by performance with the least effective listed first.
    2. To load metrics the objective.
  2. Analyze metrics.
    The metrics table shows KPIs, KVIs, or drivers, and offers these functions:
    • Periodic and YTD views
    • Difference and trend indicators
    • Expandable hierarchy
  3. Click a metric to update the trend chart and the Top & Bottom analysis.
  4. To explore trends, open the Trend & Projection chart.
    In case Forecast Versions exists and is selected in Application Context, the Trend & Projection chart, by default, shows 9-month actuals with 3-month forecast, comparison of a budget against actuals and forecast, and the year-over-year changes in a waterfall format.
  5. Review details.
    To review details, use these functions:
    • Expand To to explore entities, objectives, and locations
    • Analyze by to switch dimensions
    • Zoom In to go deeper into hierarchies
This scenario shows an example of how to identify and address issues in C-Suite:
  1. You notice a red indicator on the Enhance Efficiency & Profitability objective.
  2. You click the objective and see a 5.3% drop in the Operating Margin.
  3. You expand the metric and identify a 40% increase in OPEX driven by Other Operating Expenses.
  4. The trend chart shows that this issue has persisted for months.
  5. The Top 5 chart shows Genesis Europe is the main contributor.
  6. Expanding to business units reveals that the BU1.1 is responsible.
  7. You jump to the detailed report, confirm that Long Hours are the issue, and schedule a meeting with the owner of the business unit to address it.
