Top & Bottom Analysis widget layout and key features

This section describes the layout and key features of the Top & Bottom Analysis widget.

Layout

The Top & Bottom Analysis widget is divided into up to three chart sections. Each section shows a different dimension of an analysis.

These chart sections are available:

  • Chart section 1 is always visible and shows the best 5 or the worst 5 performers for a selected business object. By default, an entity is the displayed business object.

The Chart section 1 includes these elements:

    • Bar chart to compare the selected metric for the reporting and comparison period
    • Difference bar to present the difference in values
    • % Difference bar to present the percentage change.
Note: When all three chart sections are available in the widget, the Difference bar and the % Difference bar are displayed in a single chart to optimize space.
  • Chart section 2 is an optional section. It is displayed when you use the Expand To function to add a dimension.
  • Chart section 3 is an optional section. It is displayed when you use the Expand To function to add another dimension.

Each chart section includes these elements:

  • Total: Total number of all items.
  • Others: Aggregates the remaining items outside the top or bottom 5 performers.
  • Color-coded bars: Green for positive trends, red for negative trends, gray for neutral metrics.

The chart bars are displayed unevenly because of a limited space within the chart area.
