Data rules of the Top & Bottom Analysis report
These data rules of the Top & Bottom Analysis report apply:
- The data grid always includes at least one dimension.
- The default sorting is based on the Difference or % Difference (for percentages) that are inherited from the dashboard.
- Difference is calculated in this way:
Difference = Reporting period - Comparison period
. - % Difference is calculated in this way:
% Difference = (Reporting - Comparison) / ABS(Comparison)
.Note: % Difference can include minor rounding variances because the calculation is based on OLAP data rather than scaled data. - For percentages, the Difference is not shown.
- Difference and % Difference columns are coded with these colors: green, red, or gray. The color depends on the metric and trend.
- Rows with zero or null values are suppressed by default.
