Metrics Table widget mechanism

C-Suite shows metrics in a context and synchronizes all visual components.

When you access the report from the dashboard, these mechanisms apply:

  • The selected strategy and objective determine which metrics are shown in the Metrics Table widget.
  • The highlighted metric drives the content of the Trend & Projection and Top & Bottom Analysis widgets.
  • Changes in the Metrics Table widget are immediately reflected in the charts.
  • When you jump to detailed reports, the selected strategy, objective, metric, and view mode are passed on by the dashboard.
  • When you return from a report to the widget, the key selections are remembered. This ensures continuity in analysis.

Example

  1. Open the C-Suite dashboard and the default strategy and objective are preselected.
  2. In the Strategy & Objective widget, select the Enhance Efficiency & Profitability objective.
  3. The Metrics Table widget is updated to show related metrics and highlight the Operating Profit Margin.
  4. The Trend & Projection widget shows a 12-month view of the metric and the Top & Bottom Analysis widget shows the bottom five performing entities.
  5. Click the Metrics Overview icon to go to the detailed report, which inherits the selected objective, metric, and view mode.
  6. After you review the breakdown by region and add two analysis columns, you can return to the dashboard. In the dashboard, the same metric and view are still active for the continued exploration.
