Navigation and context transfer between reports
You can access the C-Suite dashboard reports in these ways:
- In the C-Suite dashboard, use the report buttons.
If you access a report from the C-Suite dashboard, the report inherits these elements:
- Current application context, for example, reporting and comparison periods, or a version.
- Widget selection, for example, a strategy, objective, or metric.
- Chart configuration, for example, a number of periods.
- Use tabs in other reports.
If you access a report through a tab in another report, the context is inherited partially from that another report. The report that you access inherits these elements:
- The Filter panel: Based on the last configuration from another report. For example, the last used objective, metric, reporting period, or comparison period.
- The application context is applied, for example, the reporting and comparison periods, the reporting version.
- The selected dimension and filtered element are fully inherited.
If you navigate from the Top & Bottom Analysis report, the first analysis dimension and its displayed elements are transferred to the report you navigate to.
To return to the C-Suite dashboard, use the icon in a report header.
This procedure shows an example of a use case:
- In the Trend & Projection report, click and select an entity and filter for Genesis Automotive.
- Navigate to the Metrics Overview report.
The report opens with the Entity dimension that is filtered for Genesis Automotive.
- Navigate to the Top & Bottom Analysis report.
The report shows the entity in the data grid. It is zoomed in to show the Genesis Automotive child elements.
- In the Top & Bottom Analysis report, perform these actions:
- Click Region. This replaces the entity in the grid. and select
- Click Europe. on
- Click and select a product. This adds another dimension to the grid.
- Return to the Metrics Overview report.
The report shows Region as the dimension and is filtered for Europe.

The Filter panel is available in all C-Suite reports, with shared parameters. Certain fields are not displayed in some reports if they are not required or may operate under slightly different logic depending on a specific report.
The Filter panel is expanded by default. You can collapse it, if needed. The list of dimensions in the Filter panel is derived from the Enterprise perspective.
The Filter panel includes the Reporting Period and Comparison Period fields. You can set the periods independently of the . Those filters do not override the values but provide an additional layer of filtering within a report. Therefore, a report can be scoped to one period through the context settings and simultaneously apply filters to focus on a different subset of data.
This table shows the filters available in the Filter panel.
