Configuration in Business Modeling
You can structure strategic insights by linking strategies, objectives, and KPIs in a three-level hierarchy in Business Modeling.
The Strategy/Objective business object defines this two-level structure:
- Level 1: Strategy: A high-level business direction such as Growth, Stability, Operational Excellence, or Sustainability.
- Level 2: Objective: Specific goals under each strategy and measurable targets to achieve the strategic direction. For example, Enhance Operational Efficiency.
Note: The Strategy/Objective business object does not support custom properties.
You can assign each KPI to one or multiple objectives with this multi-value string property: <Objective ID>|<KPI Type>|<Rank>
These KPI Type values are available:
- KVI: Key Value Indicator, a leading KPI with a goal
- KPI: Key Performance Indicator, a standard performance metric
- Driver: Supportive metric that is used in calculations or the context
The Rank determines the order of KPIs under each objective.
