Importing data to Financial Reporting

Data, such as your actuals or comparison scenarios, is imported from a connected integration database.

Data is imported incrementally and the target area is cleared before the import. If a record field is empty, the data is assigned to the unassigned, labeled as N.A., element in the corresponding OLAP dimension. If the value N.A. is specified in the record field, it is treated as an invalid input and triggers a validation error, preventing the data import. The target area is defined by the selected configuration set and version and by the periods and entities from the source table.

  1. In Financial Reporting, select Business Modeling > Data Loads > Financial Reporting Data Import.
  2. Click Import.
  3. Specify the configuration set, entities, calendar periods, and versions to which to import data.
Note: Existing data for the selected target context is overwritten during the import.
  4. Click Next.
  5. View the assignment of business objects to segments that happens during the import.
  6. Click Validate Data.
  7. View the validation result.
  8. Optionally, to download the log file, click Download Log.
  9. Click Load Data.
The Load Data option is disabled if the validation result shows errors.
  10. Click Finish.
