Defining the calculation order

The solve order is the order in which the calculated member is solved in cases where calculated members intersect each other. For example, Calculation 1 calculates the sum of elements on columns. Calculation 2 calculates the average of elements on row dimension. Depending on whether the Calculation 1 or 2 is calculated first, the result in the intersection is different.

Define the solve order of calculations in the Properties pane.

  1. In the report, select a calculation.
  2. Open the Properties pane.
  3. In the Solve Order field, specify a number that defines the order in which the calculation is performed.
