Implicit users

An implicit user is a user that is authenticated through a user group to which the user belongs. If you register a user group, then any member of that group who signs in becomes an implicit user. Implicit users are not given their roles and permissions directly but through their groups. This allows storing users' preferences.

To view implicit users, select Dashboards > User and Permission Management > Users, Groups and Roles, click the three-dot icon in the Users section, and select Implicit Users.

Regardless of whether a user is explicit or implicit, Infor EPM remembers users' personal settings such as variable values or start screens.

Caution:
If you delete a user, whether implicit or explicit, all information that relates to the user is deleted. This includes, for example, their favorites in Self-Service.

Changes to the users are visible in the business applications after you republish the model in Business Modeling.
