Registering IFS users and security roles

Caution:
If you delete a user, whether implicit or explicit, all information that relates to the user is deleted. This includes, for example, their favorites in Self-Service. However, it does not include the user's tasks in workflow. Those can be reassigned to other users. In Budgeting & Planning, select Business Configuration > Configuration Set-specific Settings>Workflow Configuration.

Changes to the users are visible in the business applications after you republish the model in Business Modeling.

  1. Select Dashboards > User and Permission Management > Users, Groups and Roles.
  2. In the Users section, click Add and select Register Infor Federation Services Users and User Groups.
Note: In Infor EPM, IFS roles are used as user groups.
  3. In the Register Infor Federation Services Users and User Groups dialog box, select the users and user groups to add and click the Include icon.
If you register a group, then any member of that group who signs in becomes an implicit user. To view implicit users, click the three-dot icon in the Users section and select Implicit Users.
  4. Click OK.
