Creating variables

This task is optional. If you choose, you can instead use the existing global variables gv_Time2, gv_Measure2, and gv_Region2
  1. Select the Accessories pane of the Application Explorer.
  2. Right-click Global Variables and select New Global Variable.
  3. Specify a name for a variable to hold an element of the Period hierarchy.
  4. Repeat steps 2 to 3 and create global variables to hold elements of the Measure and Region hierarchies.
