Using the Extended Select Element Dialog

You can select a required element, and select elements below it.

1. Click the Properties icon on your ad-hoc analysis toolbar and select the Use Extended Select Element Dialog to activate this functionality.
2. Select a row, column, or a header in the data grid.
3. Click Select Elements.
4. Click More icon in the Select dialog box.
   These selection options are available:

   • Hide Pagination
   • Select items that are not empty
   • Select All
   • Deselect All
   • Select by level
   • Select Base Elements
5. Click More icon of a specific element, to see available selection options of the element.
   These selection options are available:

   • Select element underneath:
     • All including parent
     • All excluding parent
     • All base elements
     • Level
   • Select parent
   • Select children
   • Select siblings
   Note: If the Use Extended Select Element Dialog is cleared, you can use the standard Select Element dialog box, which is available in header selections only.
