Integration with custom applications

Ad-hoc Report widget is integrated with custom applications.

Application Studio

You can open the slice definition of the Application Studio report in the web Ad-hoc Report widget or a dialog box.

In the Ad-hoc Report widget you can modify how the slice definition data is displayed, what elements you see in the report, the context of the data in the report or how you browse through data.

Financial Reporting

You can open the Ad-hoc Report widget from these Financial Reporting reports:

  • Aggregated Financial Statement
  • Comparative Financial Statement
  • Income Statement - Budget vs Actual
  • Statement of Capital Expenditures
  • Summary Trial Balance
  • Cash Flow Manual Adjustment
  • Cash Flow Statement

To open the Ad-hoc Report widget, you can choose from these options:

  • Right-click a cell in the data grid and select Ad-hoc Analysis.

    The web Ad-hoc Analysis report opens as a dialog window and mirrors the data from the underlying report, it displays the same rows, columns, and filters. All Ad-hoc Analysis report functions are available. You can, for example, swap rows and columns, adjust filters, apply zero suppression, or format cells and rows.

    You can resize the Ad-hoc Analysis dialog window to provide additional space for analysis.

    Click Close to close to return to Financial Reporting.

  • Click the Open as Ad-hoc Report button on the toolbar.

    The web Ad-hoc Analysis report opens as a dashboard. All Ad-hoc Analysis report functions are available. You can, for example, swap rows and columns, adjust filters, apply zero suppression or format cells and rows.

    Click the Home icon to return to Financial Reporting.
