Data connections in Application Engine

Follow these rules and recommendations:

• You can connect to OLAP databases only within an Infor EPM farm.
• OLAP connections must be XMLA-based. Native connections are no longer supported.

  In Application Engine, existing native API calls are automatically executed as matching XMLA calls.

• Use data connections in Application Engine scripts.

  These methods of using data connections are available:

  • OLAPCreateNamedConnection (unique name of OLAP data connection)
  • SQLCreateNamedConnection (unique name of relational data connection)
