Overview of OLAP

OLAP is a platform for planning, reporting, and analysis. It is a multidimensional in-memory database that ensures fast access to large volumes of summarized data.

With OLAP you can:

  • View data from multiple vantage points.
  • Create applications without complex programming.
  • Create cubes, dimensions, hierarchies, and dynamic attributes.

A special deployment option is required to have OLAP pre-configured for single tenant automation. This must be requested before single tenant cloud provisioning is done.
