Checklist for installing on multiple machines
This table shows the tasks you must complete, before you start installing your farm on multiple machines:
| Completed | Task |
|---|---|
| ❑ | Verify that the services on all machines use the same version. |
| ❑ | To rollout the software to multiple machines or servers, you can use your local provisioning software from 3rd party vendors to patch multiple servers. |
| ❑ | Ensure that all of the BiFrameworkCertificate certificates are trusted on all machines of the farm. |
| ❑ | For optimal machine distribution and sizing aspects, see Hardware and Software Recommendations. |
| ❑ | Install the required relational database providers on all machines where you plan to install services that require relational database access: OLAP Service Worker, OLAP cluster node, Application Studio Service Worker, Modeling Service Worker, Financial Applications Service Worker, Consolidation Service Worker, and Application Engine Service Worker. |
| ❑ | Specify the correct ports for communication with the services. |
| ❑ | If your business data source is not an SQL relational database, ensure that the relational providers which you will define as data connections are installed on all machines of the farm. |
| ❑ | Ensure that the Service Controller uses the same account on all machines. |
