Editing calculations

  1. In the Ad-Hoc Report task pane, click the Elements tab and select the calculation element.
  2. Click the three-dot icon and select Edit Calculation.

    The Dimension/Hierarchy, Parent Element, Formula Editor, and Object Browser fields, are prefilled.

    When you make changes to the Dimension/Hierarchy, or parent element, the calculation element is not displayed in the element tree of the originally selected hierarchy but in the target hierarchy. The target hierarchy element tree is not changed when you close the Edit Calculation dialog box.

    When you make changes in the Dimension/Hierarchy field and the parent element is not set to No Parent, the parent element is reset to No Parent automatically.

    After you edit the calculated element, it remains selected in the Object Browser field and is displayed as temporary disabled in the element tree. The modification of the calculated element hierarchy clears the element selection. If you change position or structure of the calculated element in the hierarchy, the system deselects it to update the interface.

    When you select an attribute, it is displayed in the Edit Calculation dialog box. Clicking Edit removes the attribute from the element tree view.

  3. Click Update.
