Creating calculations

  1. In the Database Structure pane, expand the hierarchy on which to create a calculation to show the Calculations folder.
  2. Right-click the Calculations folder and select New Calculation.
    Note: The Calculations folder is displayed only if you select Show Calculations in the settings of the Database Structure pane.
  3. Click the calculation.
  4. To define the calculation, specify an MDX expression.
    You can double-click elements to add their unique names to the expression. To create a calculation, double-click the elements and combine them with the standard arithmetical operators. Various functions are available when you click Functions. Pause on the calculation at the point at which to insert a function and then double-click the function.
