Overview of EPM Administration
EPM Administration is an application in which you administer Infor EPM.
Displaying or hiding columns in dashboards
By default, the predefined dashboards do not display all available columns of information.
Security - Infor Ming.le
Security is role-based. That is, permissions are defined in roles and then users, or groups of users, are assigned to those roles. There is thus no direct mapping of users or groups to permissions. Users can be assigned to multiple roles. The assignment can be direct, or indirect - through groups that are assigned to roles.
Troubleshooting resources
A variety of resources are available to assist in troubleshooting farms.
Global security settings - Infor Ming.le
In the Global security settings dashboard, you can create and maintain a list of secure sites in which Dashboards can be embedded. The purpose of this is to protect against user interface redress attacks (Clickjacking).
Auditing
Infor EPM provides an audit trail for a number of events. Those events are grouped into audit categories. Specific audit requirements can vary, and it is often necessary to balance auditing and system performance. For these reasons, you can configure your own auditing requirements. Membership of the Audit Administrator repository role is required.
Managing applications
Infor EPM applications are collections of Infor EPM content that are designed to meet particular business needs.
Application settings
You can specify default settings for each installed application. You can apply those defaults to specific user groups and roles or specify different settings for each group or role.
Custom settings
Custom settings and global variables are similar but custom settings can also be used in Application Engine processes, OLAP mappings, and in relational modeling. Custom settings can be encrypted if they are used to hold sensitive information such as passwords.
Data connections
In the Data Connections dashboard, you define data connections within a specific application. Select Dashboards > Applications Administration > Data Connections.
Repository
The Repository dashboard is a predefined dashboard that you can use to manage authentication settings and handle pending operations.
Attachments
Content designers can enable users to attach files to reports. Attached files are stored within Infor EPM services applications.
Language settings
Use the Language Settings dashboard to manage languages and translation strings for your application or use these widgets from the Administration menu: Languages, Strings.
Shared images
You can add shared images to an application. You can export shared images from one application and import them to another.
Web extensions
Web extensions are JavaScript applications that you can add to reports. Web extensions can be developed for different purposes. Web extensions can be trusted or untrusted.
Managing the reports in an application
In the Reports widget, you can view the constituent reports, templates, and style sheets of an application.
Downloading and installing clients
Infor EPM platform has several client applications. The clients can connect to the Infor cloud or to a locally installed farm.
Downloading client connection profiles
Each Infor EPM services client has an associated connection profile.
Enabling Office Integration in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Office Integration is a web application that is shown inside a task pane of Microsoft Office. The client is Microsoft Office.
Farm administration
The Services dashboard has four widgets in which you view and administer the properties of the machines, services, managers, and workers in the farm.
