Copying entity configurations

You can copy the currency, organization, and segment configuration of an activated entity to one or more other entities in the configuration set. There are various parts of an entity configuration that you can copy including segment configuration and financial planning steps.

The combination of entity and currency in a configuration is valid for an entire configuration set. For example, if Entity A uses USD and Entity B uses GBP then USD overwrites GBP if you copy Entity A to Entity B.

  1. Click the Home icon.
  2. Select Global Settings > Configuration Set Definition.
  3. Click the version that contains the entity to copy and select Edit.
  4. Click Next twice to move to the Entities step.
  5. Click the Settings menu of the entity to copy and select Copy Entity Configuration.
    The Settings icon is available only for active entities.
  6. Select the entities to copy to and click OK.
    The entity to which you copy is automatically activated and its currency set.
