Creating WebView parameters

WebView parameters replace part of the URL with ${parameter_name}. You can create parameters from a URL, or you can paste in a URL which already contains parameters in the required format. If you paste in a URL containing parameters, the parameters are automatically detected when you tap Parameters.

Each parameter is listed in the URL Parameters dialog box. Specify a default value for each parameter.

To create a parameter:

  1. Tap the Edit icon on the application toolbar and tap the WebView widget.
  2. Tap the Widget properties icon on the widget toolbar.
  3. On the General tab, tap URL Parameters.
  4. Select the part of the URL to use.
  5. Tap Create the Parameter.
  6. Optionally, rename the parameter.
    You can rename a parameter or change its value. Tap the parameter name or its value and tap the Clear icon. Specify a new name or value.
  7. To reuse a parameter in another part of the URL, select the text to replace and tap the Link icon.
  8. Tap Done.
