Parallel consolidation
In the case of parallel consolidation, an ownership structure is set up through relationships between parent entities and other parent entities, and not through groups. A group is a virtual collector of the entity-to-intercompany relationships that build the ownership structure. A group never owns or controls another group.
To run parallel consolidation for all entities within a group, select
. Then select relevant consolidation processes in the Consolidate category, excluding the Subgroup Copy and Subgroup Copy Transaction Data processes.This diagram shows an ownership structure of group GR0001:
GR0001 has a parent entity RU0001, which has direct ownership over these entities:
- RU0002 (80% ownership)
- RU0003 (100% ownership). The parent entity of group GR0002.
- RU0007 (100% ownership). The parent entity of group GR0004.
- RU9999 (100% ownership)
The parent entity RU0001 has indirect ownership over these entities:
- RU0004
- RU0005
- RU0006
- RU0008
The consolidated statement for group GR0001 contains group journals of entities RU0001, RU0002, RU0003, RU0004, RU0005, RU0006, RU0007, RU0008, and RU9999.
This diagram shows an ownership structure of group GR0002:
GR0002 has a parent entity RU0003, which has direct ownership over these entities:
- RU0004 (75% ownership)
- RU0005 (55% ownership)
The parent entity RU0003 has indirect ownership over entity RU0006.
The consolidated statement for group GR0002 contains group journals of entities RU0003, RU0004, RU0005, and RU0006.

The consolidated statements for groups GR0001, GR0002, GR0003, and GR0004 and their group journals are created in parallel. In parallel consolidation, the relationships between parent entities of groups and subgroups build the ownership structure.
