Keyboard shortcuts

This topic lists the keyboard shortcuts that you can use to navigate in the element tree.

This table lists the element tree keyboard shortcuts and their corresponding descriptions:

Key Description
Ctrl + mouse click Changes the selected state of the element, but it does not change the checked state.
Shift + mouse click Creates a continuous selection from the elements that were selected.
Ctrl + Shift + mouse click Extends the selection.
Esc Deselects all elements.
Left arrow Collapses the expanded parent element.
Right arrow Expands the expandable element.
Down arrow Navigates down.
Up arrow Navigates up.
Space bar Selects or clears elements.
Shift + arrow keys Holding shift and using arrow keys extends or inverts selection.
Shift + Space bar You can use mouse or arrow keys + Shift to select multiple elements.
Ctrl + A Selects all visible elements.
Ctrl + Enter Multiple writeback on contiguous cells. This shortcut works only for writeback-enabled formulas.
Ctrl + Alt + Shift + F9 Recalculates a report when manual calculation is selected in the Microsoft Excel toolbar.
