Report management
The options for managing reports depend on whether they are protected reports or custom
reports. Business Modeling displays the structure of the business
applications' navigation. Protected reports are part of the application content and are
indicated by a key icon.
Custom reports can be purely informative. It is not required that they be used for data entry or transfer.
This table shows the options available for protected and custom reports:
Option | Protected reports | Custom reports |
---|---|---|
Add report | N | Y |
Delete report | N | Y |
Rename report | N | Y |
Update report description | N | Y |
Reset report | Y | N |
Translate report name | Y | Y |
Translate report description | Y | Y |
Show in navigation | Y | Y |
Change order position | N | Y |
You can add custom reports anywhere in the navigation structure but you cannot add, move, or delete sections within the structure.
For your changes to have effect in the business applications, you must publish the model.
When they are published to OLAP, custom reports are prefixed with CST_.
