Creating write and read-only entity data roles for Financial Consolidation

When you publish entities, the associated entity accountant data roles are published with write or read-only permissions for the corresponding entity.

Use the Write option to publish a data role per entity with write permissions for the corresponding entity. The role is named DR_EntAcc_<Entity OlapID>.

Use the Read-Only option to publish an additional data role per entity with read-only permissions for the corresponding entity. The role is named DR_EntAcc_<Entity OlapID>_RO.

These options are available only to members of the Business Modeling Administrator role.

  1. Select Manage Model > Publish Model.
  2. In the Read/write entity data roles for Financial Consolidation section, switch on the Read-Only option to publish additional read-only entity data roles.
    The Write option is enabled by default.
    To delete all existing entity-specific data roles, both write and read-only, switch off the Write option. Switching off the Write option disables the Read-Only option.
    The change has effect when you publish the model.
    The entity-specific data roles and any additional read-only data roles are deleted when the entity is deleted.
