Advanced Filter
The Advanced Filter function enables you to perform a detailed filtering of accounts that are displayed on the Data Entry tab.
To access Advanced Filter, click the three dot, Data Entry tab and select .
, icon on theThe Advanced Filter window lists accounts from the Data Entry tab in a hierarchical order.
In the Advanced Filter window, you can perform these actions:
- Search for specific accounts.
In the Search field, specify the account name or number and click the lookup icon. You can specify part of the name or number. All accounts that match the specified criteria are displayed in the list.
Note: By default, the search is among account names and numbers. To enable the search by either a name or number, click the arrow button in the Search field and clear the category that does not apply. - View only the list of accounts that you selected.
Select required accounts and click the
icon. This function is helpful if selected accounts are displayed on multiple pages. - Select accounts to display in the data entry grid. Note: Before you start a new selection, clear all check boxes in the list.To select accounts at the account list level, click the three dot, Advanced Filter window and select one of these options:, icon in the
Option Description Select items that are not empty Selects all accounts that contain values other than 0 in the data entry grid. Select All Selects all accounts in the list. To remove the selection, select
.Select by level Selects all accounts at a selected level or multiple levels. To select multiple levels, you must select each level separately.
Select Base Elements Selects all base element of the accounts. To select on a specific account, click the three dot,, icon next to the account and select one of these options:Option Description Select elements underneath Note: This option works only for a parent account that has elements beneath it.These options are available:
- All including parent: Selects the parent and its children at all levels beneath the parent in the hierarchy.
- All excluding parent: Selects the children at all levels beneath the parent in the hierarchy but not the parent.
- All base elements: If the parent has only base elements beneath it in the hierarchy, this option has the same effect as All excluding parent. If the parent has further parents and base elements beneath it, this option selects only the base elements.
- Level: Depending on a selected level or levels, selects the parent or its
children, or both.
To select multiple levels, you must select each level separately.
Select parent Selects the direct parent of the account. Select children Selects the direct children of the account. Select siblings Selects the siblings of the account within the same parent.
To display selected accounts in the data entry grid, you must click Advanced Filter window.
