Finance workbooks
Finance Budgeting & Planning and decision packages are based on financial planning steps. Financial planning steps are a collection of accounts: typically, balance sheet and income statement accounts. Financial planning steps can be applied on entity level or detailed to an organizational level. Based on the workflow, each financial planning step gets a corresponding finance workbook assigned. Different finance planning steps can have different workbooks.
A time scope is specified for each configuration set. The time scope consists of the number of years in the configuration set, the start year, and the time intervals. Time intervals specify the level at which you enter data. For example, a configuration set might require you to enter values at the month level in the first year, but at the Quarter or Year level in subsequent years. But, whichever time interval is selected, values are written to the months. For example, if the time level is Years and you enter a value of 120,000 for the year, then 10,000 is automatically written to each month of the year.
Optionally, you can view and adjust data at the month level.
