Custom applications

You can add custom and standard applications to Infor OS Portal. For custom applications, there is a Portal Details dialog box in the Applications dashboard. The dialog box has instructions for completing the fields of the Add Application widget in Infor OS Portal. It is useful to copy and paste the information to a text file for reference while you add the application to Portal.

  1. Log on as Administrator to Infor OS Portal.
  2. Click the Navigation Menu icon and select Applications .
  3. Click + Add Application.
  4. Specify this information:
    Application Type
    Select Infor Non-provisioned.
    Application Name
    Select Custom Budgeting and Planning.
    Display Name
    Specify the application name to display in the Infor OS Portal application tray.
    Application Icon
    Click Choose Icon and select an icon.
    Logical ID
    The field is pre-filled with this partial logical ID (LID): lid://infor.custom-depm. Specify a suffix to complete the LID. For example, specify 1 for the first instance of the application. The suffix identifies the instance of the application.

    The LID is a unique identifier for an endpoint in an application instance. The LID is crucial for Infor OS Portal-internal management, but also for functions such as drillback and sharing of page links. The instance name must be lowercase.

    Use HTTPS
    Switch on this option.
    Host Name
    Specify the host name given in the information from the Navigation Menu > Applications > EPM Administration.
    Port
    Specify the port number given in the information from the Navigation Menu > Applications > EPM Administration.
    Context
    Specify the context given in the information from the Navigation Menu > Applications > EPM Administration.
    Default Tenant
    Leave this field empty.
  5. Click Save.
