In-Context BI templates

In-Context BI templates are supplied with the Sample application. In the Application Studio report catalog, select Reports > Extras > in-context BI Chart Templates.

There are these two approaches to using the templates:

  • Build a report by replacing the query in the template's hyperblock.

    Most templates use hyperblocks to provide sample values for the templates.

  • Build a report by copying a chart from a template.

    This is similar to the first approach but requires you to change the data source for the chart.

Note: We recommend that you always work on copies of the templates. If you edit the supplied templates, your reports might be overwritten if you import new versions of the templates.
