Cut, copy and paste in panes

You can cut, copy and paste these objects to different locations:

• Folders
• Reports
• Global lists
• Calculations
• String hierarchies
• Variables (global and report)

The Cut, Copy and Paste buttons and right-click menu options are displayed only where these functions are available.

You cannot cut, copy, or delete the system folders - Reports, Style Sheets and Report Templates.

When a report is copied, its dependencies, such as lists, variables and string hierarchies, are copied with it .

You can copy lists from one hierarchy to another. This can be useful if the structure of a list is complex. If you copy a list to another location you can change the element selection but keep the list's structure.
