Managing service accounts

In the Manage Service Accounts dashboard, you can add service accounts for the backend service application that is a prerequisite for communication with API Gateway. You can also add service accounts for user impersonation.

By selecting an account in the dashboard, you enable Edit and Delete buttons. You can edit the unique name and description of a user service account. You cannot edit any details of the backend service account.

Caution: 
If you delete the backend service account, then calls to API Gateway are no longer possible.

To add a service account:

  1. Select Dashboards > User and Permission Management > Service Accounts.
  2. Click + Add.
  3. Browse to and select the .csv or .ionapi file of the account to add.
    User accounts are stored as .csv files, backend service accounts as .ionapi files.
  4. Click Add.
