Adding Self-Service to your tenant - Infor OS Portal

In cloud environments, Self-Service is not available as an application. Therefore, it is not displayed under the Navigation Menu in Infor OS Portal. Instead, you access Self-Service through a content connection in a custom application, which you create in EPM Administration. You then add the custom application to your tenant in Infor OS Portal. In the Infor Portal dialog box, you can find information that is required to add the application to your tenant.
  1. Sign in to Infor OS Portal as Administrator.
  2. From the Navigation Menu, select EPM Administration. Create an application.
  3. Select the created application and click Portal Details. Make a note of the information displayed in the Infor Portal dialog box.
    For example, copy and paste the information to a text file.
  4. On the Portal tab in Infor OS Portal, select Applications.
  5. Click Add Application.
  6. Specify this information:
    Application Type
    Select Infor Non-Provisioned.
    Application Name
    Select Custom Budgeting and Planning.
    Display Name
    Specify the application name to display in the Infor OS Portal application tray.
    Application Icon
    Click Choose Icon and select an icon.
    Logical ID
    The field is pre-filled with this partial Logical ID (LID): lid://infor.custom-depm. Specify a suffix to complete the LID. For example, specify 1 for the first instance of the application. The suffix identifies the instance of the application.

    The LID is a unique identifier for an endpoint in an application instance. The LID is crucial for Infor OS Portal-internal management, but also for functions such as drillback and sharing of page links. The instance name must be lowercase.

    Use HTTPS
    Select this option.
    Host Name
    Specify the host name given in the information from the Infor Portal dialog box in EPM Administration.
    Port
    Specify the port number given in the information from the Infor Portal dialog box in EPM Administration.
    Context
    Specify the context given in the information from the Infor Portal dialog box in EPM Administration.
  7. If the registration is successful, click the Permissions tab in the Manage Applications dashboard. Add one or more of these roles as you require:
    • BI-Administrators
    • BI-PowerUsers
    • BI-Viewers
  8. To add Self-Service to your custom application, select the application from the Navigation Menu in Infor OS Portal.
  9. Click the Settings icon and select Content Connections.
  10. Click the Create icon and select Application Studio Service.
  11. In the Content Connection Editor dialog box, specify this information:
    Name
    Specify, for example, Self-Service.
    Unique Name
    Click in the field. The name is automatically pasted in.
    Description
    Optionally, specify a description.
    Show Button on the Toolbar
    Selected by default.
    Authentication
    Select Existing Connection.
    Points to Application
    Select DEPMSESE.
  12. Import the standard Self-Service dashboards.
    You can raise a support incident and request the dashboards package, or use the latest package attached to Knowledge Base Article 2105001.
  13. Click Save.
